Soup Curry “Kokoro”
Kokoro is one of the older, original Sapporo soup curry restaurants; it has been around since 2001. Located close to Hokkaido University, the shop is usually filled with university students. Kokoro soup is tomato based and contains good Hokkaido vegetables. The soup is not too oily and has a lighter texture, especially when compared to Samurai). A plate of Kokoro curry costs around 1,000 yen.
The Japanese name for this restaurant is karee shokudo kokoro (カレー食堂 心).

“Pascolo” Ice Cream
Pascolo is an ice cream/Italian gelato place located in Otaru’s Zenibako area (along route 5 just outside of Sapporo on the way to Otaru). Pascolo uses Hokkaido all natural ingredients to make some excellent ice cream. A good place to drop by on your way home from Otaru Dream Beach if you are living in the Sapporo Area.
